A Premier League footballer has been arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and witness intimidation.
West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho, 25, was arrested on Sunday night before being bailed and came after being previously questioned over an alleged assault earlier this month.
Mr Diafra "vigorously denies" the offences, his spokesperson said.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said:
On Sunday 23 August, officers from Havering arrested a man on suspicion of threats to kill and witness intimidation.
A 25-year-old man was arrested an an address in Emerson Park, Hornchurch. He was taken to an east London police station and bailed pending police enquiries to a date in early October.

A spokesman for the player told The Sun Newspaper: "Diafra Sakho has not been charged with any offence.
"He vigorously denies the allegations that have been made against him, and has given police a complete explanation of events.
"He will not be making any further comment."
Senagalese international Sakho joined West Ham in August last year and has scored 10 goals for the team in 26 Premier League appearances.
He previously played for the French club FC Metz.

Not getting much help.... Valencia's work for him last season was very under rated.
Just not quite going for him. Put in a real shift at Arsenal and had the one chance which he didn't get hold of.
Had a chance against Leicester that hit Schmeichel from about 4 yds, would have gone in last season.
Did brilliantly to turn the defender v Bournemouth and create Kouyate's goal. Again, probably would have gone in last season.

Who knows if there is something in this. The whole thing could be fabricated by a jealous, bitter ex - hope that's all there is to it. Either way, it could affect his performance.
